DIY Statement Necklace

Hey Guys! I have been loving the statement necklace trend lately, but they can be pretty expensive, so I decided to create one myself! I started to play around with some beads and chain and figured out how to make this necklace! Hope you enjoy!
What you will need:
-Variety of different beads
- Chain (Whatever size you prefer)
-Thin silver wire
- Flat nose jewelry pliers
- Round Nose jewelry pliers
- Cutter jewelry pliers

~You can find all of the materials at most craft stores~

 Step 1: Find your beads
- You can pick all one color, or multicolor beads
- You want to have a variety of shapes and sizes

I decided on all blue beads.

Step 2: Measure wire
- You want to cut about 12 inches of wire with your cutter jewelry pliers

~Before beginning the next step, be sure to bend one end of the wire so that your beads don't fall off.~

Step 3: String on the beads

-Put all your beads on the wire in no order!

 Step 4: Secure the beads
- Twist the wires at the end
-Be sure to leave about 1/4 of an inch untwisted
 Step 5: Twist!
- All you have to do here is twist the beads!
- Be sure your twists are as tight as possible.
 Step 6: Measure your chain
- Measure around your neck how long you want the chain to be
-Now multiply that by two if you want a doubled chain like I did
Step 7: Prepare to put it all together
- Line up the necklace with the looped part of the chain next to the looped part of the beads
- Put the open end of the chain with the twisted end of the beads

Step 8: Putting it all together Part 1
- String the end of the chain through the looped part of the beads
-Pull it through until both sides of the chain are equal

This is how it should look:

Step 9: Putting it all together Part 2
- Take both ends of the chain and loop each end link on one of the wire parts
- This part is tricky, so just play around with it and you should get it!
- Twist the wire to secure the chain
- Now use the flat nose pliers to bend the wire over so that you don't have wires poking out
This is how it should look:
 Step 10: You're done!
-Yayy! now just play around with it and make it exactly how you want it.

This is how it should look:

TIP: If your necklace is too short to pull around your head, pull the looped chain through the looped beads until one of the chains fits around your head and then do the same with the other chain.

Let me know how yours turns out if you try it!

REVIEW: Revlon Lash Potion Mascara

Hello Everyone! As I've mentioned before, I cannot resist new mascara which means I had to try out the new Revlon Lash Potion mascara. Here's what I thought;

I picked up the Revlon Lash potion waterproof mascara in the color blackened brown. I'm not gonna lie, the main reason I bought it was the packaging, it is so gorgeous! My first impression of this mascara was "WOW!" I am so pleasently surprised by how this mascara works. The formula is pretty dry, but not too dry, whch makes it clump-free and non-smudgey (is that word?). The mascara coated every lash and I had absalutely NO clumps. What I found most unique about this mascara is that no matter how much I applied, it never clumped or got too voluminous. This is the perfect mascara for someone who wants their lashes to be enhanced and well coated, but not over dramatic.

Final thoughts: I love the formula, packaging, name, and brush! I would defninetly recommend this product any day of the week!

Hope you guys found this helpful!

REVIEW: Eco Tools Makeup Brushes

Hi guys!
Today I wanted to review my favorite makeup brushes for you. Hope you enjoy!

Eco Tools Makeup Brushes
When I was looking for makeup brushes, I wanted ones that were inexpensive, but still nice quality. I found these qualities in Eco Tools brushes at Target. The brushes that I have tried so far have all been very soft and well designed. They all seem to do what they're supposed to do and pick up the product well.

Bamboo Bronzer Brush (I use it for powder) $12

This is the first brush that I purchased from EcoTools and it is also my favorite brush. It picks up my powder so well and helps create a matte finish on my face. This brush is so thick, especially for the price, I love it so much!

Deluxe Concealer Brush $3.99
This is the perfect concealer brush for me. It picks up just enough concealer and is slightly stiff so it's easy to use, but it's still very soft.

Finishing Kabuki Brush $6.99
This is the only brush from Eco Tools that I was a bit disappointed in. It's a good brush for starting off with makeup maybe, but it doesn't have much of a use. It is also overpriced compare to the other brushes. Although I wouldn't recommend this brush, I do love all the others I have tried.

Eco Tools by Alicia Silverstone: 15.99
I got a brush set with five makeup brushes in it and an adorable makeup bag.
This makeup set seemed to complete my "collection"and I had almost every makeup brush I needed, plus they are great for travel!

Mini Foundation Brush

Mini Powder Brush

My Summer Style!

Hello Everyone!
Summer fashion is here which means shopping time is here! I've done my summer shopping and I have my summer wardrobe together. Today I'm gonna share with you some key pieces and trends that you'll find in my closet this summer.
Hope you enjoy!

If I'm not wearing flip flops, I'm probably wearing these sandals! So at first glance they look like Jack Rodgers right? Well they're not! I got these sandals at a local shoe store but you can find the brand, Hot Cakes, at most shoe stores. I love that they're silver because they go with basically everything and are easy to dress up and down.

You can never have enough colored shorts in my opinion! I picked up these coral colored shorts at Gap. I like to pair colored shorts with another colored shirt that is opposite the color wheel (like a blue or teal). Another way to style them is with a white or black shirt and a pop of color statement necklace!

I love wearing my coral shorts with this teal J-Crew inspired necklace from Charlotte Russe. Wearing two bold colors looks perfect in the summer sun!

Style Tip #1: Try pairing two bold colors together like coral and teal, or yellow and royal blue.

I have been on the search for the perfect pair of crochet shorts and I finally found some at Charlotte Russe. These were on sale for five dollars! These cream crochet shorts look nice with  almost any color top and silver sandals.
Everybody needs a basic pair of high waisted jean shorts! I bought some high waisted Levi's at Goodwill and cut them into cute high waisted shorts. I like to pair my shorts with crop tops or a basic shirt that I can tuck into the shorts.

Style Tip #2: If you're looking for the perfect pair of high waisted shorts, here are a few things you may want to keep in mind;
a)Do they come up to right below my belly button?
b)Are they comfy?
c) Are they too short?

I cannot stop wearing these shorts from Gap! They are white with daisy cut-outs and hot pink underneath. I think these shorts are so unique and cute! They're a bit more difficult to style, but I like to wear them with a black blouse and some silver jewelry.

I picked up this crop top at Delia's for $10 and I love it! What really sold me on this top was the cut outs on the back. This looks adorable with a white bandeau underneath it and some white high waisted shorts.

Forever 21 takes the win with this neon coral and black tribal printed crop top. Pair this with some high waisted black shorts and teal jewelry for a summer day out.

Style Tip #3: When wearing crop tops, be sure that you are wearing high waisted shorts or a high waisted skirt so that you are not showing to much belly!
As far as coral statement necklaces go, this one from Charlotte Russe is my absolute favorite! It's pretty simple for a statement necklace, but it still makes a statement.
The "arm candy" trend seems to come back every summer! Hey, I'm not complaining! I feel like teal bracelets match with everything.
I really enjoy the motivational silver bangle that I found at Earth Bound which says "live well-love much-laugh often."

Throwing on a few rings can complete the perfect summer outfit!

Style tip #4: Feel free to load up on the jewelry during the summer. Try stacking 5 or 6 bracelets that are all different colors!
