Beach Day Essentials!

Hello Everyone! 

With the arrival of summer, comes beach season! Whether you're going to the beach, pool or wherever you can find some water, you're going to need a few things to have a successful trip. I've put together my beach essentials for you guys, hope you enjoy!

Okay, I'm gonna start with the obvious, a bathing suit. I got mine from Target and I love it! Bright pops of color are so great at the beach and this bandeau style top is very on trend right now.

Over your bating suit, you may want to wear a cover up or a tshirt just in case you have to go somewhere. Believe it or not, I got my cover up dress from Justice... yes, Justice. Don't worry it was a few years ago but it does still fit and I really     like it!

                                                                              You do not want to find yourself at the beach without a towel and some shoes! You can find some really cute towels at places like target (I'm not sure where mine is from though).                ~Click to see Target's beach towels~

You also want to have a nice pair of sunglasses because nobody likes sun in their eyes! I would recommend bringing a case to put them in as well so that they don't get crushed at the bottom of your beach bag. You also don't want to bring your new thousand dollar glasses because it is very easy to lose them at the beach. I picked a pair that I got at a local boutique for only $10, and my case is from a thrift store ($1.00). You can find cute cheap sunglasses at stores like Forever 21 or Target.

Whenever I go anywhere near water, I always bring my waterproof camera case! These things are so much fun for taking underwater pictures and it makes your camera water and sand proof! You can buy waterproof camera's, but I prefer using my every day camera and just putting it in here!

Water!!! This is super important! Sitting out in the sun for hours can really drain you, and you need water so that you can stay hydrated! I love bringing my Camelbak because it keeps my water cold and won't leak. You also may want to bring a snack/picnic as well.

Everybody needs sunscreen! I have pretty sensitive skin, so I get burned very easily and this is the sunscreen that seems to work for me. I use Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration in SPF 30. I like to bring the lotion and the spray because when I'm all sandy it's easier to just spray myself down to reapply (which you should do). This sunscreen also smells so delicious and is pretty moisturizing. For my face I like to use a face stick that is oil free and has a higher SPF, this one is wet skin kids from Neutrogena.

If I'm gonna be at the beach for a while, I like to bring a fun book to read. There's something about reading at the beach that makes the book that much better. Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite authors for chick-flick type books which is exactly what I like to read at the beach. I also like to bring a magazine to read sometimes.

Laying in the sun all day can make you get a little sweaty, and when that happens you want to be prepared! I cannot talk about these Clean&Clear oil absorbing sheets enough. They are truly magical! You just take out one little sheet and blot it on your face and it doesn't mess up your makeup at all and you can see the oil that comes off on the sheet. It is so much better for your skin than constantly reapplying powder, so I give this a giant thumbs up!
